Authentic Expressions: A Retreat for Artists

CALLING ALL - VISUAL ARTISTS, DANCERS, WRITERS, POETS, PERFORMERS, SINGERS, ACTORS, PRODUCERS, CURATORS Are you seeking to boost the inner creativity — an opportunity to realign on why your work matters, how to make it authentic again, and how to let the divine flow through your expression? This retreat is open to professional visual artists, writers, musicians, dancers, poets, filmmakers, actors, and interdisciplinary creators. Curators, producers, and facilitators of creative work are also welcome. Through meditations and reflections, we will go into the deeper aspect of the soul’s virtues from a spiritual dimension. By understanding and reflecting on their inner world, the artist can then share these qualities and values through their art form with the rest of the world. This is especially needed in the current over-informed and influenced external world. A student of Rajyoga Meditation since 2001, Monika began expressing her spiritual experiences through art in 2016. Her work reflects the inner journey of self-realization, meditation, and victory over the self. Her recent series, Rosary of Victory, exploring inner transformation through geometric abstraction, was selected for exhibition at the 2025 Program for the Evolution of Spirituality at Harvard Divinity School and Sacred Arts 2025 at Oxford. Based at Peace Village, she leads contemplative art workshops, retreats, and experiential Raja Yoga sessions, helping others integrate spirituality into their creative expressions. Leon Gozar - Leon Gozar’s love for singing began as a quiet spark in childhood and grew into a gift she would carry throughout her life. In family gatherings and school choir, she first discovered the joy of sharing her voice and touching others through music. As her journey unfolded, Leon came to see singing as far more than artistic expression. It became a sacred path of healing, a way to uplift spirits, open hearts, create moments of deep connection with those who listen, and draw listeners closer to God’s peace. Through every song, Leon seeks to awaken love, gratitude, and hope. Her voice becomes a vessel for God’s presence, carrying His loving and healing energy to others and reminding them of the divine love that lives within and around them. Abhishek Kalra - Abhishek Kalra is a Raja Yoga meditation student who lives in Peace Village. Abhishek has been on this spiritual journey for the last 13 years. Growing up in India, he has lived in many countries in South East Asia, Korea, Germany, Sweden, and London and moved to the US in 2015. He plays the role of running Go To Market for a tech startup and is constantly looking for ways to integrate and synergize worldly and spiritual lives.
