Journey into the 11th Step - Weekend Retreat

Coming Close to the One For those in a 12-Step program A special retreat experience for anyone in a 12-Step Program who would like to form a closer relationship with their Higher Power through the practice of Raja Yoga. Raja Yoga is the “king” of all yogas, enabling us to connect with the highest within ourselves and others. Facilitators: Dorothy Steinfeld comes from the field of Education and is also a former Radio Account Executive and Business Entrepreneur. While pursuing spirituality and meditation, Dorothy landed in the lap of God and is the Director of Programs at Peace Village. She has been with the Brahma Kumaris since 1986. It’s been said that Dorothy balances the serious part of life with lightness. Kamla Etwaroo has been a practicing meditator and Raja Yoga Teacher for many years. She is currently based at Peace Village. Her passion and interest have been to meet with people from all cultures and backgrounds and to participate in value-based conversations, sharing experiences and listening to stories from the heart. Based on years of meditation practice, she shares tools or wisdom-based experiences with individuals for them to integrate into their lifestyle and help them experience peace of mind. Louise Montalbano is a former high school English teacher and has been studying Raja Yoga for more than 10 years. She fell in love with Peace Village 19 years ago at an 11th Step retreat, which not only taught her Raja Yoga, but provided practical approaches to life situations as she journeyed through the 12-step program. Currently, Louise enjoys participating in a variety of Brahma Kumaris outreach programs and emceeing Thursday Evening Insight Sessions at Harmony House in Great Neck, Long Island. Registration: Registration will open 2 to 3 months before the retreat start date. Kindly note that this retreat is designed for those who are already in a 12-Step Program.
