Spirituality in Food - Weekend Retreat

Spirituality In Food - Weekend Retreat We all know the phrase "you are what you eat". In this retreat we discuss the subtle impacts that food has on our thoughts and emotions. We seek to understand the dynamics between food and the quality of our thoughts and habits. We explore the role food plays in our spiritual life and identify eating strategies that can nourish the whole self – both body and mind. Food can be the missing link that supports our efforts for personal change and provides the necessary foundation for the development and maintenance of a regular meditation practice. Facilitators Ann Singh has been a student of the Brahma Kumaris since 1989, she has always had the quest for deeper understanding of the self. Living at Peace Village since 1999 has given her the opportunity to explore and find her deeper truth, and she is able to share that with those who are seeking to find themselves. Merrillyn Hener, MSPT, is a teacher of Raja Yoga mediation since 2000. She practices in Cambridge, MA, and her career focus is on integrating an alternative approach to healing into the typical PT practice setting - a hospital-based clinic.
